Ancient Wisdom in the Modern World

It’s all in the stars; it cannot be tuned out. It’s all written; it’s evident. Ancient Wisdom still touches the Modern World in so many ways.

We live it every day, being the Maiden, Mother, and Crone, well at least 2/3 of that trio.

The Triple Goddess – represented by the phases of the Moon: Waxing, Full, and Waning. These three manifestations also represent the three stages of life – youth, middle-aged, and elderly.

The Maiden: The Woman we all ignore once we have a home and a family.

The Mother: The Woman who takes over for the majority of our lives.

The Crone: The Woman who sits with Wisdom.

We forget our Maiden and let our youth and the things we loved slip away for the sake of adulthood. Just like our Dosha’s becoming imbalanced, our Triple Goddess becomes imbalanced when we let a piece of ourselves go.

“To find balance through Ancient Wisdom within the Modern World, we need to honor all Three Goddesses that reside within us, (men too).

The Maiden: Sing, Dance, Paint, Run, Play.

The Mother: Nurture, Feed, Cuddle, Love.

The Crone: Speak, Listen, Be.

Other ways Ancient Wisdom is alive in the Modern World:

  1. Religion/Prayer/Mantra
  2. Art
  3. Story Telling
  4. Rituals
  5. Traditions

Balancing the Ancient and Modern is such a perfect blend of roots and wings. Progression is essential for survival, but tradition keeps our core values alive.
