Another Tarot Tuesday and another chance to change your perception of your current situation.
Why are we drawn to Dramatic Relationships? I think there is a combination of reasons.
- Experiencing trauma bonding in toxic relationships growing up, and we don’t know how to break the generational trauma.
- Emotional Abuse – a subtle yet effective way to make you feel inferior. Narcissists are incredibly good at this type of abuse and often the victim takes a long time to realize this type of abuse.
- Financial Abuse – which keeps funds from helping one party to leave the other party.
- Your Birth Chart.
There are certainly other types of abuse that can also cause drama and trauma in the relationship, but what it comes down to in the end is how you can recover both financially and spiritually from a bad situation.
I have a theory based on my life and the knowledge and wisdom I’ve gained from my experiences. “When we realize that ‘all things happen through us, not to us’ we begin to change our perception, and can then steer our lives in a more positive direction.”RC
It’s all Divine Design, based on our Vedic Birth Chart, or your Western Natal Chart, and learning what Planets affect which part of the brain and the response, in an emotional or stressful setting. Just like Mercury in Retrograde, our personal Planets affect us daily.
LOVE AND DRAMA
In Vedic Astrology, there is a part of your chart that may contain what will define your relationships. It is called Mangal Dosh. If you have this in your chart, you will have relationship issues. If both parties have Mangal Dosh in their chart, it can be disastrous for the relationship. There are Ayurvedic remedies for this but there are other dots I’ve connected with love and the brain.
Mangal connects to the Amygdala in the brain, which involves the expression of emotions, defensive fight or flight reaction, as well as aggression, anger, and courage. When this is affected by our Natal Chart, we may be more easily drawn into a dramatic relationship. When our hormones and adrenaline get involved, it is my belief that we become physiologically addicted to drama and form trauma bonds with those involved in the situation.
The Amygdala is ruled by firey, masculine Mars. Mars is the commander-in-chief of the Celestial Army, so its influences, especially in relationships will take charge. Mars is in charge of two signs – Aries and Scorpio. If either of these two signs is in your fouth, seventh or tenth house you may experience the effects of Mangal Dosh and will need to remedy the situation.
One way is to calm Mars and your Amygdala with Red Coral which is the stone that represents Mars and can help you collect yourself. When we get panicky and equate this feeling of panic in a relationship, I feel we give power to the pain by believing its love and that is how we get caught in the cycle of a bad relationship.
While holding your Red Coral, you can chant a mantra, prayer or ‘I Am’ from one or more of these positive affirmations. This will help calm the Amygdala and allow the chaos to disperse and you will be able to focus clearly, using Mars for it’s positive traits.
Positive Traits of Mars:
Courage, valor, ambition, anger, physical strength, leadership, dominance, administration, Royal, hot weather, red color (Root Chakra), red flower, physical fitness, mechanical engineering.
Negative Traits of Mars:
War, killing, violence, fire, death by accident, accident, sharp instrument, injury, criticism, cruelty.
To me, knowledge is power and knowing details like this about yourself can help you make better decisions about relationships and realize that our fight or flight response is not a signal of love, it is a response to the drama and trauma, that boosts our adrenaline and makes us crave more. It’s an addiction.
