Roseanne’s most empowering aspect is her education in Ayurvedic Healing. Kitchen Pharmacy, Dosha Constitution, Vedic Astrology Charts, Vibrational Healing Treatment, Spiritual Life Coaching, learned under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Vasant Lad of the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Roseanne is a lifelong teacher and believer in a higher purpose. Staying true to that belief she has become a Yoga, Aerial Arts & Pilates Teacher, and Ayurvedic Practitioner.
Beginning her career at age 14 teaching tap, ballet and jazz classes, and going on to choreograph and direct children’s theater, Roseanne then attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy Conservatory for the Performing Arts in NYC, where she received her associates degree in musical theater, dance and voice. As part of her own theater training; Yoga and Pilates were a played a key role in keeping her body healthy, because “the show must go on”.
Of course, teaching yoga and Pilates as a career, was a very natural progression, receiving her Power Pilates 600 hour certification in 2012. Several years ago, she discovered the Aerial Arts, which combined all of her and passions into one; yoga, Pilates and performance. In 2015 she received her 200 RYT and 25 hour Aerial Yoga certification. In 2018 an additional Aerial Yoga Certificate from Luna Aerial™.
Aerial Fitness has become a staple in Roseanne’s life. Through the practice and teaching of The Aerial Arts she has learned so much more about the human body and what it can do, at any age.
Since bringing The Aerial Arts into her life, it seems her passion and purpose have merged.
Elin Waterston started Ballet lessons at age three and has been dancing ever since. She went on to study many other styles of dance including Jazz, Lyrical, Theater Dance, Highland Dance, Latin, Ballroom, Pole Dance and Bellydance. In 2008 Elin started practicing yoga and it became an important complement to her dancing – each discipline improving the other. Intrigued by the concept of combining elements of dance, yoga and aerial arts, she decided to try aerial fitness. Her feet left the ground and it was love at first flight! Elin enjoys the feeling of freedom and joyfulness that aerial fitness provides and is happy to share her love of being upside down. Elin is a certified Fly Gym Aerial Fitness® Instructor / Master Trainer, Om Factory Certified Aerial Yoga Instructor, 200HR RYT Vinyasa Yoga Instructor, Climb&Spin® Pole Dance Instructor and LaBlast® Ballroom Fitness Instructor. Elin created Luna Aerial™ – an Aerial Yoga / Hammock Fitness teacher training program.
Rachel found yoga initially as a tool to complement other forms of exercise in 2014, but quickly realized that it was much more than something to do on rest days. Since then, and with a consistent yoga practice, Rachel continues to see and experience how a strong connection between the mind and body not only helps to improve physical performance (particularly as a runner), but also creates a calmer, more balanced, and mindful life.
By day, Rachel takes these practices off the mat and into her full time job at Americares, a health-focused relief development organization based in Stamford, CT that provides life-changing medicines, medical supplies, and health programs to people affected by poverty and disaster. Whether she’s working in the office or deploying to support Americares emergency response teams after storms like Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Michael, being of service – both on and off the mat – is always her goal.
Rachel received her 200 hour teaching certification from Dew Yoga in Stamford under the teaching of Jen Irwin and Karen Rider. Her yoga focuses on bringing the mind and the body together through strong, conscious movements aimed at strengthening physical body and preventing injuries.
